This is Melody’s favorite restorative practice. Best suited for those whose energy tends to rise and who need stillness with the heart facing up. This practice opens the back from the top and works it way down providing fabulous chest and shoulder opening with a strong focus on back extension. Includes two types of Restorative Bridge, Supported Fish, restorative twists followed by Restorative Child’s Pose. Enjoy!
Strong focus on stretching the hip and releasing congestion that builds up in the hip from running. Also addresses hamstring lengthening and attending the spine. Done in a mandala pattern and includes pigeon on the belly, seated twists and back extension.
Strong focus on stretching the hamstrings and includes a hip opener done on the back with reclined twists to release congestion. Includes Reclined Big Toe, variations 1 and 2, Pigeon done on the back and an attending the spine series.
Strong focus on IT Band (iliotibial band), hamstrings, back extension and twists. Includes attending the spine, focused back extension, standing series of twists that stretch the hamstrings and lengthen the IT band followed by a standing balance pose and Pigeon on the belly. Done in an infinity pattern for energetic strengthening.
Class Description: This is a Master Level Power Vinyasa Class (Teaching Level 4); addresses all 7 elements of opening; includes peak postures of Wheel, Revolved Triangle, Revolved Big Toe (Standing), and Side Crow.
