Location: Mount Airy is located in northwestern North Carolina, an easy drive of about an hour from Winston-Salem or Greensboro, less than 2 hours from Charlotte, and about 2 ½ hours from Raleigh or Roanoke.

Parking: Ample free parking in the area.

Area Accommodations: From big hotels to cozy cabins and charming B&B’s, Mount Airy has plenty to choose from, including The Cabins at White Sulphur Springs, Heart & Soul Bed and Breakfast,  Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express.

Restaurants: Kazoku Sushi Restaurant & Bar, Soho Bar & Grill, and the classic Snappy Lunch are just a few of the many restaurants within easy walking distance from the Studio.

Wineries: Mount Airy is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley wine country, surrounded by vineyards and wineries including  Round Peak Vineyard, Shelton Vineyards and many more.

Breweries: Thirsty Souls Community Brewing, White Elephant Beer Company, and Skull Camp Brewing.

Shopping: Historic downtown Mount Airy, just ½ a block from the Studio, has an eclectic mix of shops including Welcome Home Gifts & Décor, Pages Books & Coffee, Scarlet Begonias and the always yummy Miss Angel’s Heavenly Pies.

Outdoor Activities: Walk or bike our local greenways; go canoeing, kayaking or fishing on the Ararat River (accessible from Riverside Park); hike nearby on Pilot Mountain; play a round of golf at Cross Creek Country Club.
